Kenneth Earl Hefling

October 15, 1950 ~ February 16, 2015 (age 64)

Kenneth Earl Hefling, age 64,  of North Lawrence, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 16, 2015.

He was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church where he volunteered on the Building Committee and belonged to mens Bible Study.  He also belonged to Eagles #190 and Sons of Herman.  Ken enjoyed playing baseball, softball, ping pong and golf.  He sponsored area flag football teams and Malone Baseball and supported Toys For Tots. 

Ken owned and operated Universal Standards and served in the Army during the Vietnam Era. 

Kenneth is survived by wife of  39 years, Marylou (Halter) Hefling of North Lawrence, his mother Mae (Featheringham) Hefling of Massillon, son and daughter-in-law Nate and Kim Hefling of Massillon, daughter and son-in-law Jenna and Luke Orr of North Lawrence, sister and brother-in-law Marsha and Tom Knouff of Massillon, grandchildren Jaedyn Hefling and Tyler and Leo Orr.  He was preceded in death by his father Morris J. Hefling.   

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 1 to 3 and from 6 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel, 639 First St NE. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Barbara Catholic Church on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 10 A.M. with Rev. Brian Cline and Thomas Cebula celebrants.  Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Akron Children Hospital,  One Perkins Ave., Akron, Ohio
