Ted Sidaway age 75 passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016 surrounded by his family and his loving guardians.
He was born November 16, 1940 in Massillon the son of the late James and Ruth (Wessel) Sidaway. 
Ted was a graduate of Washington High School, Kent State University, and obtained a masters degree from The University of Akron.  He was an educator for 34 years and retired from Perry Local Schools.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Sidaway; son, Mark Sidaway; daughter, Kristen (Eric) Hurley; stepdaughters, Mary Baumler, Amy (Jim) Scarfpin; sister, Jennien (Chuck) Hubiak; brother, Stan (Judy) Sidaway; seven grandchildren, Chelsea, Jillian, Ben, Kevin, Laurel, Jalyn (Andrew), Jayna; and two great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Spencer; nieces, Leanne, Stephanie (Peter); nephews, Philip, Nate, and Davis; and loving guardians, Johnnie and Joey.
He was a lifetime member of the Massillon Lions Club, Phi Delta Theta fraternity of Kent State University.  He was an avid Massillon Tiger Sports fan.  Ted loved to remodel and fix up any property he owned.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Heitger Funeral Home Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW at 2 PM with Rev. Richard Kidwell officiating. 
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 1PM to 2PM.
