William L. Aman, age 73, a life resident of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017. Bill was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Korea. He was a business owner and mechanic and retired in 2008 from Aman Auto Service.  More recently he was employed as a driver at Spitzer Chevrolet in N. Canton.  Bill also served the City of Massillon as a Councilman for Ward 2. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, K of C Council #554 3rd degree, Sons and Daughter of Herman Schiller Lodge, a lifetime member of VFW Post 3124 and Massillon Moose. Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bonnie (Faber) Aman, Patti and Mike Watkins and grandchildren Will, Nate and Amanda Watkins, Anne and Martin Sarafian and grandchildren Mari and Ani Sarafian and brother Edward (Josie) Aman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mary (Helline) Aman, sister Carolyn Aman Dieffenbaugher and brother Richard Aman. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 2 to 4 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 11:30 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Edward Gretchko celebrant.  Burial to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Restoration Fund, 726 - 1st St. N.E., Massillon, Ohio  44646.
