In order to ease the selection of services, we offer the same services and merchandise with discounted funeral plans for Veteran’s and their spouses.
Each Burial Funeral Plan includes: Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Embalming, Dressing, Cosmetizing, and Casketing of Remains, 1 Hour of Visitation before the service at church or graveside, Funeral at Other Facility or Cemetery, Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home, Funeral Coach, Committal Service with Procession, Veteran’s Memorial Package (Register Book, Memorial Cards, Thank You cards), Floral Mixed Spray, Transportation within a 35 mile radius.

“Quick Reference for Veterans Benefits”
Benefits for veterans who die at VA Hospital:
- Get $300 burial or cremation allowance
- Get $300 plot allowance if they don’t use a National Cemetery.
- We get our transportation from VA Hospital reimbursed.
- We get our transportation to place of interment or services reimbursed.
Benefits for Veterans who die outside a VA Hospital:
Scenario # 1
VA service connected disability pension.
- Get $300 burial or cremation allowance.
- Get $300 plot allowance if they don’t use a National Cemetery.
- If they are receiving a pension for a service connected disability, our transportation will be reimbursed if buried in a National Cemetery.
Scenario #2
VA support pension.
- Get $300 burial or cremation allowance.
- Get $300 plot allowance if they don’t use a National Cemetery.
- No transportation money is allowed.
Scenario #3
100% service connected Veteran
- Must have died from service connection! If so, up to $2000 is reimbursed to family on funeral—cremation costs.
All Vets and their spouses, with honorable discharge and with one day of active duty are
entitled to free cemetery property, headstone, Open and Closing and perpetual care at any
National Cemetery.
Ohio Western Reserve is our
local
National Cemetery.
