Catherine A. (Arko) Stroh, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017. 

She was born in Dover to the late Andrew E. and Matilda (Weigand) Arko on February 21, 1936.    She graduated from Brewster High School in 1954 and married her childhood sweetheart, Richard R. Stroh on May 12, 1956.   He passed away March 21, 2006, 52 days before their 50th wedding anniversary. 

She leaves behind her son Rick (Patty) Stroh, daughter Lisa (Larry) Baker, grandchildren; Kylynn (John) Saunders, Travis (Rachael) Stroh, Tyler Stroh and Mayson Stroh, great-grandchildren; Bailey Puskarich, Korey Saunders, Brynlee Saunders, and twins Parker and Elliott Stroh step-great-grandchild Kira Saunders, sisters Tillie Eschman and Carol (Gary) Harper and many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother Andrew Arko.

She was the first woman booster club president in the State Ohio at Tuslaw High School.  The Catherine Stroh award is given to the outstanding Senior Female Athlete at Tuslaw High School annually.  When her grandsons started playing football at Northwest High School she became the Bell lady.  She enjoyed bingo and knitting Christmas stockings for all her kids and spouses, grandkids and all her nieces, nephews and their families; over 125 stockings.  She lived for her grandkids.  She retired from Massillon State Hospital in 1995. 

As per her wishes she will be cremated and a celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.
