Emanuel "Spike" F Speicher

Emanuel "Spike" F. Speicher, age 80 of Massillon, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018. He was born May 6, 1937, in Indiana the son of the late Harry and Maude (Sommers) Speicher. Emanuel retired from US Army after 20 years of service where he was a chef.  He also worked 11 years at Massillon Psychiatric Center as a supervisor, and 6 years at Buckeye Color Labs where he sorted photographs. He was a member of the American Legion Post 221 and Amvets. Emanuel is survived by his wife, Carol A. (Price) Speicher, sisters-in-law, Nancy Speicher, Norma Speicher, Carol Price, Nellie Price, brothers-in-law, Daniel Lavy, Robert Price, and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his dog, Penny. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank, Vernon, Harry,  Chester, Marion, Byron, and Lewis Speicher; sisters, Erma Anstine, Marie Rohrer, and Viola Cullimore. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Heitger Funeral Service - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW at 1 PM with Rev. Phillip Paschal officiating and with military honors. Family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home from Noon to 1 PM. His final resting place will be at East Nimishillen Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
