John F. Bushkill, age 72 of Canal Fulton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 28, 1945 in East St. Louis, Illinois, the son of the late Fred and Reva (Murphy) Bushkill. John retired from Babcock and Wilcox after 45 years of service. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and K of C Council #554, 3rd Degree and 4th Degree Bishop Massillon Assembly, In his spare time he enjoyed camping, boating and fishing. John is survived by his wife, Donna Jeanne (Applegate) Bushkill, daughter and son-in-law, Cyndie and Jason Huth; daughter-in-law, Theresa Bushkill; brother Stanley Bushkill; grandchildren, Anthony (Stephanie) Bushkill, Kyle (April Schlabach) Bushkill, Courtney (Jesse) Hensel, Kristin (Tony Stewart) Waybright and Kelsey (Corey Vickers) Waybright, great-grandchildren Emma, Zeke, Max, Connor, Finlei, Baby Eleanor, Tyler Stewart, Angel, Tyler, and Xander Bushkill. He knew the way to the grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s hearts and had his own quirky saying that we will always remember; “whochaka whachaka”. He was one of their favorite people and they always brightened his day when they came to visit. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Scott Bushkill (2010). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Edward Gretchko celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Massillon. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 4 to 6 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel.
