Ada J. Yant, age 79 of North Lawrence, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016.
She was born September 14, 1937, in  Canton, the daughter of the late Martin and Anna (McKitrick) Slutz.
Ada is survived by daughters, June Borell, Marie Shade, Janet Elbert; son & daughter-in-law, Ron and Bernie Yant; son, Dale Yant; son in law, Rob Dowling; special family friend, Liz Brakefield; sisters, Dorothy "Dot" Budd, Glenda McCune, Judy Slutz, Betty Meyer, Kate Lambert and Becky Spires; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Mary Dowling, sister, Roseanne Budd, brothers, George Slutz, John Slutz, and her husband of 33 years, Val B. "Bob" Yant.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Heitger Funeral Home, Massillon Chapel at 10:30 am with Rev. Michael Seifert officiating.  Burial will follow at Newmans Creek Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016,  at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M.
