Alex Scott Campbell, age 15, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend.

Born in Canton, Ohio August 4, 1997. Alex 'Grizzwald' Campbell was the curly-headed child who brought a smile to everyone's face. An ice hockey player, Alex could not wait until he was old enough to 'check' during a game. From four wheelers to fly fishing, Alex loved being outdoors.

It was not uncommon for family to speculate about Alex's possible future career paths - the next Jeff Corwin on the National Geographic Channel, possibly a state highway patrolman or even a park ranger at Yellowstone National Park.

Not only is this a loss for family and friends, it is a loss for the people and situations that Alex would have undoubtedly made a positive impact on. Our free-spirited, courageous, daring boy will forever be in our hearts.

Survived by his parents, Scott and Laura Campbell and brother Matthew Campbell. Also survived by his grandparents Dick and Trina Campbell, Myron and Sandy Draper and a host of extended family including aunts,uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 11:30 A.M. at Rivertree Christian Church, 7373 Portage St NW, Jackson Twp.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
