Alma Jean Hewitt, age 80 of Canton, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 following an extended illness. She was born June 1, 1932 in Toronto, Ohio daughter of the late Harry A. and Margaret (Wemple) Littlecott.

She was a homemaker and had worked for Family Counseling Services of Stark County retiring in 1992. She is survived by daughter Marjorie Preece of Massillon, granddaughter Melinda Chase of Green and great-granddaughter Eleanor Chase. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Harry and Charles Littlecott; son Robert Dale Harmon; first husband Rev. Dr. Robert I. Harmon and second husband Lloyd Hewitt.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at 10 A.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel, 639 First St. N.E. with Rev. John Tully officiating. Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery in Toronto, Ohio.

FIRST STREET WILL BE OPEN TO LOCAL TRAFFIC.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 A.M. at the funeral home prior to the memorial service.
