Obituary

Anna A. Wucinich/Wucinick (Wincek), was born February 28, 1918, In Ohio.  She was the 7th child of 16, born to George and Thresa Wincek.  Her siblings were John, Steve, Chuck, Mike, Frank, George, Mary, Katie, Rudy, Wilma, Walter, Helen, Alvin, Betty, and Frances.  All but her youngest sister, Frances Wincek Hoffman, are deceased. Raised on a farm, Anna was a resourceful girl, learning to sew at an early age.  She designed and crafted many garments for her siblings and herself from yardage that her father would bring home from town.  She maintained her fondness of fashion and design throughout her life, remaking clothes and jewelry.  She could turn a simple garment or necklace into a "fashion statement!"  She worked at Timken Roller Bearing during WW2, until her marriage to Peter Sentz, with whom she had two daughters, Thresa and Wanda.  Her second marriage, to Michael Wucinich, in 1948, brought five more children, Pauline, Michael Jr., Nancy, Jack, and Mary. Throughout her life, Anna enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening.  She was a strong proponent of the use of garlic in the diet, way before the scientific world caught on and she used it in all of her cooking, especially her famous fried chicken!  She could often be seen outside of her home, bent over, pulling weeds, or planting.  She was still weeding until almost 90!  Her tulips, daffodils, lilies, and ferns, were a sight to behold!  Some of her favorite sayings were, "you have to keep on keeping on," "you have to have a goal, a dream, and a joy," and "you only get to keep what give away." Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Mike, in 1997, and her daughter, Wanda Alice Kemper (Ken) of Naples, FL in 2019.  She is survived by her children, Thresa Ann Beasley (Lloyd) of North Port, FL, Pauline Frances Morris (Barney) of North Port, FL, Michael Wucinick (Lisa) of Canton, OH, Nancy Marie Bentley (Bill Graham) of Palos Hills, IL, Jack Walter Wucinich (Joanne) of Massillon, OH, and Mary Marquerite Olszewski of Canton, OH. She is also survived by grandchildren, Lisa Patena, Leslie Myers, Michael Wucinick, Katina Miller, Nicholas Wucinick, Chaz Walter, Miranda Estes, and Mackenzie Clark.  There are 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2020 from 2 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W., Massillon.  The funeral service will follow beginning at 3:30 P.M.  The service will be live streamed to Heitger Funeral Home Facebook page beginning at 3:30 P.M. Masks and social distancing will be required for all services. Anna's final earthly resting place will be next to her parents, at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Massillon.  Her heavenly resting place will be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!  We love you, Mom!  Burial will be on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 10:30 A.M.
