Barbara Bowman, age 85 of Massillon, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at her home surrounded by family.
She was born July 31, 1937, in Massillon the daughter of the late Carl and Genevieve (Meidlinger) Kraft.
Barbara retired from Tuslaw Local Schools after 41 years of service driving bus.
She was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church. She was an avid sewer.
Barbara is survived by son Richard Bowman and his partner Bob Eldridge of Akron, daughters Jolene Bischoff of Massillon and Lori Dearth of Massillon; brother, Thomas (Carol) Kraft; granddaughters, Kristen (Dustin) Hendricks and Amanda (Michael) Miller, great-grandchildren Mason, Carter, and Addison Hendricks and Michael Miller Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Bowman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at St. Barbara Catholic Church, 2813 Lincoln Way N.W. at 11:00 am with The Very Rev. Canon Matthew (Maciej) Mankowski officiating.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at St. Barbara Catholic Church,2813 Lincoln Way N.W., from10:00 am to11:00 am.
Burial to follow the service at St. Barbara Cemetery in Massillon.
