Barbara A. Grunder, age 87 of Massillon, passed away Friday, May 5, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born August 9, 1935, in Massillon, the daughter of  the late Cliff and Ruth (Featheringham) Greenfelder. Barb retired from Massillon Community Hospital where she was a cardiac technician for 30 years. She was a member of Divine Parish of Massillon/St. Mary's and enjoyed working outdoors.  She was a Stark County Board of Elections Poll Worker. Barbara is survived by son, Rick (Debbie) Grunder; daughters, Christy (Kirt) Price, Stacy (Paul) Lapikas;  grandchildren, A.J. (Anthony), Bo (Paige), Ashley, Gabe, and Garrett; great-granddaughter, Ellinia; sister-in-law, Betty Grunder; brother-in-law, Mike Jorden; and a number of loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Davis, her soul mate of 54 years,  Christian (Rudy) Grunder, sister Karen Jorden, little sister, Diane, baby brothers, Terry and Tommy, and former son-in-law, Tony Brown; sister and brother-in-law, John and Tuffy Grunder. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 7 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W. Calling hours will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 6 to 7 P.M. Her final place of rest will be Brookfield Cemetery in Massillon at a later date.
