Barbara L. Meinhart, age 64, of Massillon passed away on Friday August 9, 2013 at Affinity Medical Center after a short illness.

She was born December 31, 1948 the daughter of the late Roy K. and Rose Mary (Longheier) Preece.

Barbara retired from the former Massillon State Hospital.

Barbara was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Massillon Friends of the Library, and the Ladies Auxiliary VFW #3124. She enjoyed crafting and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her son, Robert "Bobby" T. Meinhart Jr.; sisters, Jackie Muster and Peggy Ackerman; brother, Roy K. Preece Jr.; two nieces and two nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert T. Meinhart Sr. (2005).

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 11 AM at Oakwood Cemetery in Massillon with Rev. Edward Gretchko officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
