Barbara E. Snyder, age 77, of Jackson Twp., passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024, following a period of declining health. She was born October 19, 1946, in Canton, the daughter of  the late George and Betty (Fox) Yoder. Barbara worked as a secretary and receptionist in the x-ray department at Mercy Medical Center and retired after 44 years of service. She was a member of Amherst Community Brethren In Christ Church and volunteered in their office. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of  48 years, Kenneth W. Snyder; several nieces and nephews including nephew Preston (Lisa) Yoder; godchildren, Janelle and Logan Hostetler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Russ Yoder. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Heitger Funeral Home - JACKSON CHAPEL from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024 at 11 A.M. at the funeral home with Calvin Hamblin and Galen Oakes officiating.  There will be calling hours prior to the service from 10:30 to 11 A.M. Burial to follow the service at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Amherst Church Benevolent Fund,  8650 Beatty St. N.W., Massillon, Ohio 44646  or Crossroads Hospice.
