Bette Louise Barnes (nee Cable) ( first marriage Osler) born 11/26/1940 in Connellsville, PA.  Passed away on 9/3/2025 in Navarre, OH.  Survived by husband of 33 years, Kenneth E. Barnes, and sister Mary Carolyn McKenna of Hendersonville, TN.  Preceded in death by her first spouse James F. Osler and parents James W. Cable and Bertha Louise Cable. Bette was a beloved mother to Cathy Howe (Osler) and James W. Osler (spouse Karen).  Loving step mother to Todd Barnes (Colleen), Brenda Hoskinson (Jim), Jan Gutchess, Lynn Adams and Stephanie Friesen (Steve).  Gramps and Grammy have an extended family of 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A retiree of J C Penney, Bette delighted in her family, travel, golf and card games.  She will forever be remembered as a kind, loving woman with tremendous faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Calling hours will be Sunday, September 7, from  3 to 5 P.M. at Heitger Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW Massillon, OH .  Funeral service is to be held Monday, September 8  at 10:30 am at Heitger Jackson Chapel officiated by Drew Causey, pastor of Orchard Hill Church in Clinton, OH.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
