Betty  L. Walter, age 100, of Massillon, and formerly of Andover, N.Y., passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024.
She was born April 4, 1924, in Wirt Twp., NY, the daughter of the late Archie E. and Mary (Hoover) Greene.
Betty enjoyed crocheting and sewing.
She was a member of Amherst Community Church.
Betty  is survived by her son, John F. Walter; daughters, Cynthia  Welch, Lisa Walter; brother, Francis Greene; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband John, and eleven siblings.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W.,  from 1 PM to 3 PM.
Funeral service will follow at the funeral home beginning at 3 PM.
Her final place of rest will be Alfred Rural Cemetery, New York.
