Beverly A. Leitner, age 71 of North Canton, Ohio, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, at her home after a long illness. Bev was born September 11, 1953 in Ashland, Wisconsin to Anders and Lillian (Filppi) Nordin. In 1973 she married William Leitner of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin with whom she raised two sons, Shawn and Kevin. She served as an accountant for Overhead Door (Wayne-Dalton) for more than 30 years, and was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the John Knox Presbyterian Church. She loved being a grandmother, traveling with her sisters and cousin, singing in a barbershop quartet, and having lunch with friends. She also enjoyed Bible study, gummy bears, and all things Wisconsin. Bev is survived by her children, Shawn (Jill) Leitner and Kevin (Lisa) Leitner; grandchildren Chase (Cate), Paige, Keira, Evan, and Colby; siblings Cheryl, Valerie, Kathryn, Susanne, and Jon; and dear cousin, Lois. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She loved her family and her friends with all of her heart, and will be dearly missed. Bev was preceded in death by her parents and her step mother, Ruth Nordin. A Celebration of Life service will be held at John Knox Presbyterian Church Saturday, September 20th. There will be a receiving line starting at 2:00pm followed by a service at 3:30pm. The service will be available both in-person and online. Following the service will be a meal for all to enjoy. Bev will be laid to rest in Painesville, Ohio, at a later date.
