Brucella Jane Meiser, age 72 of Massillon, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Anchorage, Alaska and was daughter of the late Eckly and Laverne (Peters) Guerin. She was also preceded in death by her son Paul Meiser who died in 2008.

Brucella was an English Professor at both Ohio State University and Kent State University. She retired from Infocision.

She was a member of Jackson Friends Church, N.A.M.I. and Celiac Group and enjoyed gardening.

Brucella is survived by her son, James Devine of New Philadelphia, daughter Rose Wallace of Bolivar, former son-in-law Robert Wallace of Canton, daughter Jacquelynn Meiser and Kenneth Ford Sr. of East Canton, grandchildren Lillian Meiser, Kenneth Ford Jr., Emmalee Ford, Jennifer Allchin, Christopher Allchin, and Rachel Wallace. sisters Marcia Bannon of Anchorage, AK, Cathy Deegan of West Franklin, NH, Sherry Candey of Lynnwood, WA, nephew and niece Tim and Mary Meiser of New Philadelphia, and great nephews Adam, Andy, and Alex Meiser.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 7 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W., Massillon, Ohio 44646. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6 to 7 prior to the service.
