Carol A. Andrews (Tabellion) nee Nichter, age 82 of Massillon, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center. She was born August 28, 1939, in Akron the daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Semelsberger) Nichter. Carol was a retired social worker and counselor with 40 years of service. She loved books, reading, sewing, quilting, and puzzles. Carol is survived by four daughters, Debbie (John) Benson, Darlene Ault, Deanna (Jon) Laraby, Leah (Christopher) Rinder; grandchildren, Amanda, Sam, Richard, Robert, Emily, Sara, and Kristen; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Leo "Bud" and Ron Nichter and her faithful companion, Scooter. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW at 11:00 am with Pastor Chuck Sabaka officiating. Calling hours will be held an hour prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial to follow the service at Canal Fulton Cemetery.
