Obituary

Carolyn Diane Schuster Alvey, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016.

She was born June 9, 1941 to Mary (Mudrick) and Albert Schuster who preceded her in death along with her sister Delores Danby.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Raymond L. Alvey, brother A. Byron Schuster, sister Norma Martin, four stepchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her family she is survived by a precious poodle, Taffy.

Carolyn was a 1959 graduate of Canton McKinley High School. She was a long time member of the Canton Museum of Art and was a past president of Canton Fine Arts along with Christkindl Chairperson; plus membership in various other Canton organizations and Glenmoor Country Club. The highlight and very enjoyable era was spending winters in Naples, Florida with her husband Ray.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 3 to 5 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home – Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W., Massillon, Ohio 44646 and on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 10 to 11 A.M.

Committal service will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park at 12 Noon.
