Carolyn Louise Friedrichsen, age 90 of Massillon, died Monday, May 23, 2016 at Amherst Meadows Nursing Home following a short illness.
She was born August 23, 1925, in Punxsutawney, PA the daughter of the late Phillip and Mary (Tornesella) Spina.
She had worked at People's Merchant Bank, Mortons, and retired from All Occasions.
Carolyn was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Columbian Ladies Guild.
Carolyn is survived by her sons, Thomas (Jane) Friedrichsen Jr., Phillip (Carla) Friedrichsen, and David Friedrichsen; sister, Elaine DeGirolamo; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Thomas Friedrichsen Sr.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 26 at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel, 639 First St NE, from 11 A.M. to 12:15 P.M.
Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated by Rev. Edward Gretchko, Pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church and will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 322 3rd St SE, Massillon, on Thursday at 12:30 P.M.
Burial to follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park in Canton.
