Catherine (Yost) Farris was born in 1952 in Massillon, OH to Earl Yost Sr. and Sophie (Roll) Yost. She is an alumnus of both Canton Central Catholic High School and Xavier University, where she graduated with degrees in Spanish and English.

Kate was an avid yoga enthusiast, and she enjoyed experiencing the world traveling with friends and family. At home she found joy cooking for her family, and spending quality time with her granddaughters and her dog, Fran.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Farris Sr.; children Stephen Farris Jr. (Leslie), Daniel Farris (Johanna, Eleanor, and Amelia), and Molly Farris (Andrew); and brothers Earl Yost Jr and Joseph Yost.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services.
