Cathryn (Katie) M. Paulus, age 74 of Canton, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2012 following a brief illness.

She was born November 2, 1937 in Canton and was daughter of the late Peter and Mary F. (Battista) Mervin.

She had been a waitress and had worked at Topp's Chalet.

Katie is survived by her son David Paulus of Canton, daughters Vicki Goodson of Rochester, NY and Tina Kern of canton, grandchildren Jessica, Zachary, Nicholas, Brennon, Kelsey and Carter and best friend Jean Matie.

As per her wishes, there will be no services.

The family would like to extended their thanks to the nurses, Dr's. and staff of Mercy Medical Center for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
