Cecelia M. Hanna, age 71 of Canton, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic.
She was born December 1, 1945, in Canton the daughter of the late Wilfred and Blanche (Cachat) Swanson.
Cecelia retired from Jackson Township Schools where she was a bus driver for 30.5 years.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a graduate of McKinley High School.

Cecelia's whole life was giving to others, she loved to entertain family and friends, was a friend to all, and loved to cook for everyone.
Cecelia is survived by her husband, George P. Hanna, son, Phillip W. Hanna; siblings, Francis (Darcy) Swanson, Phyllis (Craig) Stocker, Ernie (Sue) Sarbaugh, Margaret Ann Sarbaugh-Kelm, Gene L. (Dulce Marie) Sarbaugh; nieces and nephews, Jerome (Dawn) Swanson, Godson Michael (Linda) Swanson, Christopher (Heather) Swanson, Debra (Matt) Mullins, Vincent Stocker, Adam Stocker, Jake Stocker, and Erin Stocker; numerous great nieces, nephews, and many other extended family members; loving friend, Charlene Wise; and friends, Cheryl Eisenbre and Sue Shepard and her loving dog, Sassy.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Gene Swanson, Richard Swanson, Norma Jean Headly; and Goddaughter, Beth Sarbaugh.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Massillon at 11 am with Rev. Edward Gretchko celebrant.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday prior to the service at Heitger Funeral Home, 639 1st St NE, from 9:30 am to 10:45 am.
Burial to follow the service at Calvary Cemetery in Massillon.
