August 7, 1940 – December 13, 2015
Charles "Dick" Campbell, age 75 of Jackson Twp., passed away after a courageous battle with mesothelioma on December 13, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.
He graduated from St. Vincent High School Akron where he lettered in basketball.
Dick had worked with Spohn Corporation, and retired from Local 219 Akron, where he had been a pipe fitter, plumber and welder.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Massillon and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.
Dick is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara (Reid) Campbell of Jackson Twp., son and daughter-in-law Rick and Lisa Campbell of Jackson Twp., son and son-in-law Ron and Stewart Campbell of Green, daughter and son-in-law Stephanie and Billy Lee of Carroll Twp., PA, son-in-law and wife Ryan and Nicci Phillips of Jackson Twp., a-nd grandchildren Connor (Rachell), Emma, Meg, Sammi, Brady, Whitney, Robbie, Charlotte, Thalia, Nadia, Madison, Colin and Elani.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mary Evelyn (Labbe) Campbell, son Michael Patrick Campbell and daughter Cindy Campbell Phillips.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 5 to 8 P.M. At Heitger Funeral Home Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W., Massillon, Ohio 44646.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Edward Gretchko, Pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. At St. Paul's Church, 127 Cherry St. N.E. Massillon, Ohio 44646.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice, 4369 Whipple Ave. N.W., Canton, Ohio 44718
