Charles J. Tabellion (84) went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 28th after a long, happy life. Born on February 19, 1937, Chuck was a lifelong resident of Massillon, Ohio and an active parishioner of St. Mary Parish. He was a graduate of St. Mary School and Washington High School (1957). Chuck was a handyman, working as a mason for Union Local 6 for over 30 years. In his spare time, he was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman as a lifetime member of Brewster Anglers Club. Family was very important to Chuck  and he cherished every moment with his grandchildren.

Chuck is preceded in death by: his father, Clarence, mother, Eugenia, and brothers, William (Bill), Neal (Tint), Donald (Corky), and Dale Tabellion, and granddaughter, Grace Keane.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Hazel Marie (nee. Penland) Tabellion, his daughters and sons-in-law: Deborah (Richard) Ramsey, Vicki (James) Keane, and Lisa (Jeffery) Mays, son and daughter-in-law Joseph (Heidi) Tabellion, and his grandchildren: Jaden and Braylwyn Tabellion, Emily, Chloe, Ryan, Hanna, Jaxson, and Sophia Keane, and Logan Mays, and his brother, Louis (Louie) Tabellion.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 4 to 7 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W., Massillon.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary Parish in Massillon with Fr. Edward Gretchko celebrant.

Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Parish.
