Obituary

Cheryl Lee Guy, age 71, of Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, surrounded by family and love. Born on May 18, 1954 in Canton, OH to the late James Robert Brothers and Laverne (Houston) Eddins. She was a corpsman in the Navy and often shared fond memories of her adventures in Yokosuka, Japan. She returned home to Canton to raise her three children near family and worked hard to become a nurse. She graduated from the Aultman Hospital School of Nursing in December 1998, where she met friends who would remain part of her life for years to come. She enjoyed planting flowers, collecting seashells, vacationing with her husband, turning strangers into friends, and cooking for everyone she loved. Her fiery spirit, laughter and dedication to her family will never be forgotten.

She was the loving wife of the late Rudy Guy. Survived by seven children Christopher Brothers, Kelly (Joe) Bernstein, Lisa (Joe) Hardman, Melanie (David) Moyer, Monica (Steve) Shope, Alexandra Taliani, Amanda (Aaron) Sowick; 14 grandchildren Haden, Camden, Audrey, Edith, Joseph, Nolan, Easton, Luke, Jacob (Beckah), Katelynn, Zachariah, Olivia (Christian), Emma and William (Danielle); 3 great grandchildren Jackson, Raelynn and Nathan; 3 sisters Susan Fillinger, Kimberly (Michael) Rouf and Lisa (Kirk) Brothers.
