Cheryl Petraitis Dixon, 74 of Canton, passed away on May 17, 2014.

She was born in Akron the daughter of the late Frank and Mildred (Dorsey) Petraitis.

Cheryl owned a wellness consulting business.

She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, and a member of the Red Hat Society.

Cheryl loved life! She cared deeply about her children, grandchildren, music, singing, nature, traveling, animals, and Strickland's Frozen Custard.

She is survived by her son, Bob (Carrie) Wendell of Falls Church, VA; daughter, Jill (Rob) Ghosh of Silver Lake, OH; brother, Brad (Lyn) Petraitis of Canal Fulton; three grandchildren, Riley, Sasha, and Olivia.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George Dixon.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Heitger Funeral Home – Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW at 12 PM with Rev. Michael Shaub officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 10am- 12pm prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron.
