Kracker
April 13, 1913 – December 16, 2014
On Tuesday, December 16, 2014, Clem Kracker age 101, of Massillon left this life to be with God and his beloved wife of 68 years, Virginia.
Clem was the last of his eight brothers and sisters to pass. It will be a great reunion in Heaven!
His family has been blessed by his presence in their lives for so many years. He was dearly loved by all.
Surviving him are sons Bill and wife Pat, Jim and wife Diane, Bob and wife Doris, daughter Pat Evans and son Mike and wife Bonnie. In addition there are 25 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and seven great, great grandchildren . In addition to his wife, brothers and sisters, he was preceded in death by son-in-law Howard E. Evans Sr.
Clem was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, singing in the choir for 35 years, calling Bingo at the school and volunteering to keep his beloved church clean among other activities. He was a member of K of C Council #554 3rd degree. He worked for Acme (later Reiter & Harter) Dairy for 44 years as a milkman. For the last twelve years he resided at the Canton Regency Assisted Living. Clem's good humor, his compassion for others, his positive attitude and his very strong faith in God caused him to be loved by all who knew him.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 5 to 8 P.M. At Heitger Funeral Home – Massillon Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 10 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Edward Gretchko celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
His family is especially grateful to the Regency staff and care givers Barb, Chris and Melanie. He was treated as though he was their father.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Angel Fund, 640 First St. N.E., Massillon or St. Mary Memorial Fund, 726 First St. N.E., Massillon, Ohio 44646.
