Cletus J. Crone Jr., age 98 of Massillon, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at home surrounded by his sons. He was born February 20, 1924, at home the son of the late Cletus and Katherine (Radel) Crone. He attended and graduated from St. Mary, Longfellow, and Washington High Schools.  He was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Church. Cletus helped his dad at the Progressive Delivery Co. and part time at Fred Long Service Station, at RJ Beorner's Texaco Service Station. He was employed and retired from Republic Steel Enduro Division Production Plant where he was a supervisor. He was a member of Eagles 190, and a 40 year board member of the West Stark Credit Union. Cletus is survived by sons, Michael F. Crone, Patrick J. (Cindy) Crone; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Virginia Crone. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 9th at St. Mary Catholic Church, 206 Cherry Ave NE at 11 A.M. with Rev. Edward Gretchko celebrant. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 9th,  at Heitger Funeral Home, JACKSON CHAPEL, 5850 Wales Ave NW, from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Burial to follow the service at Calvary Cemetery in Massillon.
