Obituary

Cynthia L. Martinet, age 63 of Massillon went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at her residence following a lengthy battle with Multiple Systems Atrophy. She was born October 21, 1948 in Massillon and is the daughter of Robert and Noreen (Huwig) Graber of Massillon.

She was a life member of St., Mary's Catholic Church and a graduate of Mercy School of Nursing. She worked in case management, discharge planning, group quality assurance, utilization review and quality assurance for 40 years as an RN at Massillon Community Hospital (now Affinity Medical) retiring in 2008.

Cindy enjoyed reading, vacationing at Myrtle Beach and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered most for her sense of humor, zest for life, and genuine compassion for helping others.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 42 years Tom Martinet, son Marc T. (Diana) Martinet of Massillon, daughters Melissa A. (Cale) Dressler of Perry Twp., and Kristen L. (Anthony) Kaplanis of Plain Twp., brothers Gary (Tracy) Graber of Massillon, Gregg (Sheila) Graber of Navarre, Grant ( Annette) Graber of Cleveland, sister Gayle (Allen) Neago of Massillon, grandchildren Wyatt and Riley Dressler, Brody and Regan Martinet, Kate and Anthony Kaplanis Jr, numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Wendy Nader for her care and compassion during Cindy's illness. She enjoyed her Wednesday Spiritual Club with her parents and her sister which always ended with a 'REMEMBER'.

Memorial mass will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 10 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Edward Gretchko celebrant.

Intombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum in Massillon.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 5 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home Massillon Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Angel Fund for tuition assisstance, 640 First St. N.E., Massillon, or a charity of your choice.
