Darrel Morris Kerr, 88 of Massillon passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Hospitality House.

He was born August 13, 1926 in Volga, WV the son of the late Ralph M. and Mary Madeline (Thompson) Kerr.

He was a Navy veteran serving during WWII.

He retired from Eaton Corporation in 1988 after 30 years of service.  He also was a bus driver for his father's bus transportation business.

Darrel was a member of First United Methodist Church, treasurer of the Eaton Union Welfare Fund.  He loved to camp and fish, and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians.  He was very proud of his time in the Washington High School Marching Band serving under George Red Bird.

He is survived by his daughters, Sandy (Glen) Buttacavoli, Carol Kerr; brothers, Milford (Bonnie) Kerr, Robert Kerr; grandchildren, Adam (Erin), Shari, and Matthew Buttacavoli; great-granddaughter, Eden Buttacavoli.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Isabel Kerr, and brother, Don Kerr.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at First United Methodist Church at 12 Noon with Rev. Julia Wertz.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church from 11am to 12pm.

Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery will be Monday, August 3, at 10:30 AM.
