David A. Boerner Sr., age 72 of Massillon passed away on November 18, 2013.

He was born Nov. 2, 1941 son of the late Willard and Catherine (Lafferty) Boerner.

David owned and operated Boerner Glass Inc. for 47 years and retired in 2006. He belonged to St. Mary Catholic Church, K of C Council 554 3rd Degree and Glaziers Local 1162 Akron. He enjoyed boating, bird and wildlife watching, gardening and classic cars.

David is survived by his wife of 19 years, Susan (Burris) Boerner of Massillon, sons David A. (Angela) Boerner Jr. of Canton, Michael H. (Cindy) Boerner of Imperial, Missouri, daughter Catherine L. (Robert) Beavers of Massillon, step-children Anita (Mike) Ecenbarger, Denise Blogna, Teresa (Rob) Gross, twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 6 to 8 P.M. At Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 10 A.M. At St. Mary Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary St. Vincent dePaul Society, 726 First St. N.E., Massillon, Ohio 44646.
