David G. Derr, age 91 of Massillon, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 at Danbury Senior Living. He was born March 11, 1930, in Canton the son of the late Raymond and Grace (Schmidt) Derr. He was a veteran serving in the Marines. David was a retired from Central Trust where he was a bank manager. He was a member of the Moose, Sons and Daughters of Herman, and The Boys and Girls Club. David is survived by children, Victoria A. Derr, Alice K. Nodo, Rhonda Robinson, Gerry Knerr; brother, Raymond Derr; grandchildren, Scott and Amy Robinson, Danielle and Brett Knerr, Mitchell Webster, Jherod Bauders; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janis L. Derr; brother, Richard Derr; and son, Robert Knerr. Celebration of Life will be held at the Sons and Daughters of Herman, 1994 Deermont Ave NW, Massillon, OH 44647 at 2pm on Monday, October 11th. His final resting place will be at Brookfield Cemetery in Massillon.
