David P. Smith, age 80, of North Canton, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018.
He was a 1956 graduate of Jackson High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
David retired from Yellow Freight and had formerly worked for Mack Truck.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kay A. Smith, daughter and son-in-law , Dena and Randy Cameron of Canton; brother and sister-in-law Kenny and Connie Smith of North Canton; and granddaughters Stacy and Abby Cameron.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Boy Scout Troop #1012, Faith United Methodist Church, 300-9th St. N.W., North Canton, Ohio  44720.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be a private family gathering at a later date.
