Delores J. Hall, age 83, of Massillon, passed away at home on Sunday, December 11, 2022 surrounded by her family.
She was born February 28, 1939, in Mason County, WV, daughter of the late Myrtle (Hoschar) Barnette and Willard Wilson Barnette. She came to Massillon at the age of 14 and resided here until her death.
In August 1953, she married the love of her life, Jerl Hall, Sr., who preceded her in death January 18, 2022. They would have celebrated 69 years of marriage in 2022. Together they built a life and a family which included three children, seven grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Delores dedicated her life to her family until her passing. She was a talented artist, and enjoyed making memories and spending time with her family especially her youngest great-grandchildren, Adalie and James West and Natalie and Evelyn Petcavage. They were and always will be her babies. She was extremely proud of her granddaughters and grandson and often said how beautiful they are. She was truly blessed.
She is survived by sons Jerry Jr, Gary (Christine) Hall, daughter Janet all of Massillon, grandchildren: Faith Roehlig, Crystal (Steve) Sciortino, Tiffany (Brian) Birchler, Angie Hall, Amanda (Alan) Thorne, Ashley (Mitchell) Petcavage, and James (Heather) West, along with 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Roush of Pt. Pleasant WV; sisters-in-law, Joan Barnette of Gallipolis OH, Loretta Barnette of Gallipolis Ferry, Sue Hall of Massillon, and Sarah Hall of Lost Creek, WV, brother-in-law, Daymon (Linda) Hall of Mannington WV, former daughter's in-law, Myra Hall and Barb Mummertz, former son in-law Joe West Jr. several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Jerl S. Hall, Sr.; great-grandson,Jonathan Hall; siblings, George, Jim, Johnny, Billy, Bobby, David Arthur, Virginia (Susie), and Janie; and several extended family members including beloved brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022, at 11 A.M., at Heitger Funeral Home - JACKSON CHAPEL, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W. Massillon.
Calling hours will be held at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 10 A.M.
Burial to follow the service at Brookfield Cemetery in Massillon.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Grace Hospice Care Team for their care and dedication.
