Obituary

Donald A. Kyser, age 84 of Jackson Township, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls. He was born January 25, 1940, in Akron the son of the late Wilbur and Mabel (Ulm) Kyser. He graduated from Akron East High and Kent State University. Don retired from Goodyear Tire Interplant Relations after 40 years of service with the company. He was a member of Jackson Friends Church. Don is survived by wife of 62 years, Margaret "Marge" Kyser; children, Kristine Ann Waslar, Craig Allen (Terry) Kyser, Mark Robert (Laurie) Kyser, Donald Scott (Marnell) Kyser; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Kyser and son-in-law, Jack Waslar. Don was a coach of many sports, but coaching and playing baseball was his passion.  Rest in Peace Coach. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 13, at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW at 11 AM. Burial to follow the service at Manchester Cemetery in New Franklin.
