Donald Wayne Lebo Jr, age 61, of Jackson Twp. passed away after a long and hard fought battle with metastatic colon cancer.

He was born to Donald W. and Betty J. (Goodrich) Lebo on November 10, 1952, in Canton.

"Donnie" was proud of his life-long beard, as he never shaved after graduating from Jackson High School in 1971.  He loved driving tri-axle dump trucks for many years.   "Beard," as he was known to many of his friends in south Florida, lived 30 plus years in the Key Largo area.  Fond of motorcycles and fast cars, he never went without one or the other. Having been raised a hunter, he became a sharpshooter and enjoyed deer hunting even while getting chemo.

He returned back to this area when his mother became sick in 2011. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends but remembered fondly for being a loving son, older brother, true friend, and sportsman.

Donnie was preceded in death by his mother, Betty J. Lebo (Jan. 10, 2013).

He is survived by his father, Donald W. Lebo, brother, Dennie Lebo.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Heitger Funeral Home Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW from Noon to 1 P.M.

Funeral services will begin at 1 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Erv Urschitz officiating.

Burial to follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park, in Canton.
