Donald W. Lees, Jr., of North Canton, Ohio died April 26, 2014.  Born in Akron, he was a Veteran of the Air Force during the time of the Korean Conflict, going to Guam and Japan during his service.

He attended the University of Akron and retired from PPG in Barberton after 35 years.  He was instrumental in the quality work of the 112 interlayer project for airplane windshields.

He was preceded in death by parents, Matilda, Donald Sr., and his brother Jerry.  He will be greatly missed by wife Laurel, children Steve Lees (Anne) of FL, Janet Dickmander (Dave) of NC, Ken Lees of Akron, Tracy Westfall (Scott) of VA, Melissa Poisel (Tom) of MD and Samantha Bennett of Akron; Sisters Marilyn Welch of Cuyahoga Falls and Ruth Woodhull (Ralph) of TX.  He also leaves many grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews as well as many friends to mourn his passing.

Don was a member of the American Legion Post 566, VFW, and the Eagles.

Per his request, there will be no calling hours; cremation to take place.  Donations can be made to Grace Hospice at 3515 Massillon Rd. # 175, Uniontown, Ohio  44685 or Navigate Cancer Foundation at 5448 Apex Peakway #328, Apex, NC  27502.
