Donald J. Mathie, age 69 passed away February 10, 2026 at Aultman Hospital.
He was born February 21, 1956 in Massillon, the son of the late Walter and Geraldine (Rohr) Mathie.
He was a retired truck driver and an avid farmer.
Don loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Marsha (Scott) Coleman, Paula (Mike) Francis, Roger (Sarah) Mathie; eight grandchildren; siblings, Sylvia (Timothy) Leahy, Sally Heck, David (Carolyn) Mathie, Dennis (Rachel) Mathie, Walter (Glenda) Mathie, Russell (Sharon) Mathie; sister-in-law, Theda Mathie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Mathie; siblings, Patty Schiller, Nancy Riemenschneider, and Richard Mathie.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel, 639 1st St NE, Massillon at 11 AM. The family will receive friends from 9:30am-11am.
Burial to follow the service at St. Mary Cemetery, in Massillon.
