Donald L. Weller, age 64 of Massillon passed away unexpectedly at Affinity Medical Center on Monday, January 2, 2017 with his family at his side.
He was born January 13, 1952, in Orrville the son of Minnie (Glazer) Weller and the late David C. Weller Sr.
Don was a 1970 graduate of Tuslaw High School where he was a stand out athlete. He enjoyed all outdoor activities, especially fishing and camping.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and North Lawrence Fish and Game Club.
He retired from the Will-Burt Company in 2010 where he worked as a machinist and had formerly worked at Superior Meats. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandson Luke Donald Miller who was his "sunshine".
In addition to his mother, Don is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Nancy (Aman) Weller, his daughter Miranda (Ty) Miller, his grandson Luke, his brothers Tom (Cindy), Frank (Cindi) and Larry (Elaine) Weller, mother and father-in-law Carol and Don Aman, brother-in-law Bob (Sue) Aman and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers David Jr. and William Weller.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 10 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Edward Gretchko celebrant.
Burial to follow the service at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary's Restoration Fund, 726 First St. N.E., Massillon, Ohio 44646.
