Doretha Anne McCormick, age 85 formerly of Massillon, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at Affinity Medical Center.
She was born April 22, 1931, in Massillon the daughter of the late Henry and Mabel (Dantz) McCormick.
She was a 1949 graduate of Washington High School.
Doretha had worked at Woolworths for several years, then at Griscom Russell, later she retired from  Babcock and Wilcox in Barberton.
She was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church.  She was a devoted caregiver for her mother, sister, and aunt.
Doretha is survived by nieces, Noreen Palmquist and Cici Pfarr.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 17 at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel, 639 1st St NE, at 2 PM with Rev. James McKarns.
Her final resting place is at Calvary Cemetery in Massillon.
