Doris B. Mang, age 84 of Massillon, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at Aultman Hospital. She was born February 6, 1933, in Massillon the daughter of the late Dorsin Swihart and Mary (Hoffman) LaFaber. Doris retired from Crown Cork and Seal in 1994. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Doris' main passion in life was her unselfish and endless love and devotion to her family. Doris is survived by children, Jody (Gary) Fittro, Jill Sheaks; Robyn (Dave) Koncsis; Bryan Mang; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James R. Mang (2/12/2017); two brothers, Bill Swihart and Gary LaFaber and two sisters, Joanne Hopp and Mary Lou Swihart. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Heitger Funeral Home, 639 1st St NE at 11am with Rev. Raymond Paul officiating. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the funeral home from 6pm to 8pm. Burial to follow the service at Brookfield Cemetery in Massillon.
