Doris M. Rohr, age 92, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 14, 2014 at home.
She was born November 27, 1921 in Massillon, the daughter of the late Joseph and Loyola (Coyne) Schott.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Doris was an avid card player, an excellent cook, and known for her famous pies. She will be missed by her large family, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Doris is survived by sons, Joseph (Karen) Rohr, Donald (Gail) Rohr, Vernon (Brenda) Rohr; daughters, Janice Lillo, Joan (Ron) Bricker, Margery (Walt) Hoffman; sisters, Theresa (Cliff) Mansfield, Mary (Duane) DeWalt, 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband of 45 years, Clarence Rohr (1982), brothers, Joseph Schott, Charles Martin, James Martin; sister, Gertrude Caillet; two grandchildren, Robert Hammer, and Rebecca Lepley, great-grandchild, Timothy Wines.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 17 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heitger Funeral Service Massillon Chapel, 639 First St NE.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church, at 10AM with Rev. Edward Gretchko.
Burial to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Massillon.
In lieu of flowers, St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
