Doris Mae Tunning 91, of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the Laurels of Massillon.  She was born in Massillon on April 4, 1923 to the late Joseph Arnold and Eva (Wendling) Arnold.

Doris was a member of the First Christian Church.  She worked at several Dry Cleaners throughout Massillon before retireing and then she and her husband moved to Florida for 15 years.  They returned back to Ohio in 1992. She was preceded in death by her husband William H. Tunning on December 9, 1995,

She is survived by her children, Nancy (Andy) Esway of Massillon and Ed (Kay) Tunning of Dundee; 4 grandchildren, Barbara Esway of Columbus, Paula (Rodney) Digman of Massillon, Bryan Esway of Phoenix, AZ and Kevin (Sarah) Tunning of Sebring, FL; 9 great-grandchildren, Jennifer Esway of Atlanta, GA, Jessica Esway of Canton, Corry (Angela) Digman of Wilmot, Rodney Digman Jr. of Massillon, Tori Webb of Ashland and Molly, Emily, Ellie and Sadie Tunning of Sebring, FL; 6 great-great-grandchildren , Ni'Jera and CaMar Towles of Atlanta, GA, De'Naya Esway of Canton, Reminicse Esway of Columbus, and Skye and Starre Petz of Wilmot.

Friends may call at the Heitger Funeral Home-Massillon Chapel on Friday February 6, 2015, one hour before the service to celebrate her life at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steven Gower officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.  We wish to thank the staff at the Laurels of Massillon for the fine care they provided and to Dr. Susan Coss for her fine care.
