Dorothy M. Ehmer, age 89 of Massillon, died Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Rose Lane Health Care Center.

She was born September 13, 1922 in Massillon, the daughter of the late Leroy and Corabel (Rogers) Hodgson.

Dorothy was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the Isabella's of K of C and one of the first lady volunteers at the Massillon Community Hospital.

Dorothy is survived by son, David (Dana) Ehmer of Massillon, daughter Connie (Mark) Renfroe of Ashland, KY, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband, Robert A. Ehmer, a brother, Roger Hodgson, a sister, Mildred Steiner. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 6 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Heitger Funeral Service - Massillon Chapel.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 at Heitger Funeral Service - Massillon Chapel, 639 First St NE, at 10:00 AM with Rev. Jeff Coggins officiating.

Burial to follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, N. Canton.
