Dorothy M. Rank, age 87, died Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Country Lawn Nursing Home.

She was born June 3, 1925, the daughter of the late Evron and Nellie (Young) McCreery.

She was a member of Sun Coast Cathedral in St. Petersburg, Florida where she was active in church activities. She enjoyed crafts, dancing and traveled extensively.

Dorothy is survived by a son Randall L. (Sandra) Harper of Galveston, TX, daughters Vicki L. (Duke) Niezgoda of The Woodlands, TX and Linda L. (William) Ricker of Massillon, six brothers Russell (Judy), Earl (Cappie), Paul (Alice) Art, Roger (Paula) McCreery all of Texas and Jim (MaryLou) McCreery of Strasburg, Ohio, six grandchildren Christopher Fisher, Shelley Ivey, Brock Niezgoda, Jeremy, Jason and Jeff Harper, and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Roger W. Harper who died in 1979, her second husband Robert E. Rank of Clearwater, FL who died in 2010, and granddaughter Jamie J. Ricker who died in 2006.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 11 A.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Av. N.W., with Rev. David Kimberly officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 A.M. prior to the service.
