Douglas J. Knox passed away peacefully Saturday, April 4, 2026.

Doug was born on September 19, 1967, to William and Daina (Wozniak) Knox in Canton, Ohio. He was known for his joyful demeanor and infectious laugh. He had an endearing smile that showed his warm personality. He was a truly generous man who never passed judgment and was grateful for the friends and family he had.

Doug attended Jackson High School in Massillon, Ohio, Ashland University, and The University of Akron.

Doug was a fan of all Jackson Polar Bear Sports, especially Football and Basketball. He could often be found attending many of the games, including the state championships in baseball and basketball. He was a long-time Buffalo Bills, Seattle Seahawks, and Los Angeles Rams fan due to his Uncle, Chuck Knox, having been the head coach of each.

Douglas was predeceased by his parents, William and Daina Wozniak-Knox, and his younger brother, William Knox.

He is survived by his brother John Knox of North Canton, daughter Megan Sheets, and grandchildren, Adrian, McKenna, Levaeh, and also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Doug will be remembered for his kind heart and his Christian faith. His love for his Savior, Jesus Christ, was on display every day of his life.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 2 P.M. at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Massillon.
