Dr. John A. Fike M.D., age 85, of Jackson Twp., passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his family.
He was born November 9, 1940, in Hamilton, Ohio and was the son of the late Elizabeth (Fertig) Fike.
John married Catherine Croisant in 1964 and she survives him as well as his daughter, Robin Cribbs; granddaughter, Ciara Fike; two great-grandsons, Ezekiel and Leyton; sister, Marcia Kraft; special friend and farm manager, Troy Jackson; and extended family in Hamilton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sylvia Imhoff.
He was a veteran and a Major in the U.S. Army where he served Ft. Lewis, WA, and The Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.
He was a 1958 graduate of Hamilton High School. He enter Ohio Wesleyan University and graduated in 1962. At OWU, he was president of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He entered Western Reserve University Medical School in 1962. Following graduation in 1966, he was in the Army at Madigan General Hospital in Tacoma, WA. and The Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.
He was a member of the Magnolia Waynesburg Hunt.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks for the Staff of Aultman Hospice and caregivers Michelle and Karen.
Calling hours will be held at Church of the Lakes Methodist Church, 5944 Fulton Road N.W., Canton, 44718, on Monday, March 16, 2026 from 1:30 to 3 P.M. Memorial service will follow beginning at 3 P.M.
